ESG Medal History
Pre-Tournament, 2010 - The games in Hudson Valley in 2009 were cancelled due to a New York State budget issues, but are back in 2010, this time in Buffalo.

The Empire State States, the oldest and first olympics style state sponsored event, was started in the summer of 1978. Scholastic lacrosse was added in 1984. The first gold medals for lacrosse were handed out in Syracuse to the team from the Central Region.

Of the first twenty-five years of tournaments, the Long Island team has won the gold fifteen times and has never been "out of the medals".
