June 17, 2015 - Ohio Northern University picked up a second player from Section Five as Churchville-Chili senior attackman Lucas Blaszyk will join Newark defenseman Evan Corteville at the new NCAA Division III program. A three year Varsity player, Lucas ended his career with the Saints with 33g-13a and in his senior year had stat contributions in all seventeen games. May 15, 2015 - Senior defenseman, Cole Masterson of Honeoye Falls Lima has announced that he will be studying and playing lacrosse at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA after his graduation this June. Cole is one of this year`s Cougar Captains and is a two year varsity player as a defenseman. In the off season he played on the Northeast Fellowship of Christian Athletes Elite Silver team, and was named to the All Star and All-Tournament team at the Niagara Lacrosse Tournament last summer. The Lycoming Warriors are members of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) League, playing as a member of the NCAA Division III. They are coached by Chris Scanlon, a Hobart College player and graduate from Painted Post, NY. He is expected to join attackman Connor Riorden (Fairport) in the freshman class but will miss current seniors, Steve Campaniello (Gates Chili) and Steve Troup (Pittsford). Full Report |

November 11, 2014 - Senior Penfield attackman and midfielder Carter Jordan has committed to study and play lacrosse at Mercer University, an NCAA D-I program in Macon, Georgia. Carter was a second team All County (MC-d1) selection at midfield last year and is a four-year varsity player. He played club lacrosse with Blaze for the past five years and has also played for various FCA teams, Brady’s Bunch, JHawks, Nike Rising and Brine Upstate teams, making the All Star Team at the 2014 Brine Championships. The Mercer Bears are a relatively new D-I lacrosse program who joined the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2011. In 2014 the school completed a $30M stadium complex exclusively for football and lacrosse, and will move to the Southern Conference beginning in the spring of 2015. The Bears finished 7-7 under new Head Coach Kyle Hannan in 2014. Carter considered several other schools at all levels before choosing Mercer University, where he will study Sports Business and Accounting at the Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics.
