Corey Parke Signs NLI for Georgetown
 -  "It was a top Division I program and great academics and I really liked being near Washington DC. I liked how you could walk everywhere," said Corey Parke of his decision to sign a Parke SignsNational Letterof Intent to play at Georgetown next year.

On his official visit during Halloween weekend he stayed with the player that ended Pittsford's season last year in the NYS semifinals. Ithaca, who beat Pittsford in double overtime, won on the goal by Joe Bucci, who is currently a freshman at Georgetown. He enjoyed the visit and the time at Georgetown. "After we flew in, I met the other kids in my class. I got along with them really well. We went to lunch with the coaches and then hung out with the guys for a little bit. We went to dinner with the kids in my class and with our coaches and (individual) hosts. That was a pretty big dinner. Later we met more kids on the team. It was pretty fun."

Early in his high school career, Corey knew that he had the opportunity to play at a high level. "It was after being brought up to varsity in my freshman year. About halfway through the season I realized that if I worked really hard I could do it." That hard work led to recruitment by Syracuse, Maryland, Yale, the Air Force Academy, Army and Ohio State among others.

He has one more year to play at Pittsford and has high ambitions. "We lost a few key roles [to graduation] but there are a few guys that are looking to fill those roles. I'm hoping that we can make another run for the title this year."
