Another verbal commitment had been announced at Fairport rising senior defenseman, Chris Bechle has made his decision to play at Binghamton a year from now.

Inside Lacrosse reported today that rising senior midfielder Brian Martin (Fairport) has committed to Binghamton.

The list of verbals from Section Five for next year stands at an even dozen, with more to follow before the end of the summer. The "Recruitment List" still shows both last year's graduates as well as commitments from the classes of 2012 and 2013.

Victor's Maloney Gives Verbal to Albany

August 21, 2011 -Rising senior, John Maloney, Jr. (Victor) recently made his verbal commitment to play next year Albany.

A midfielder, who led the Blue Devils in assists (26a), points (53) and ground balls last year also considered Siena, Mercyhurst, Yale and the Air Force Academy, However, after an exciting visit, John decided that the team, schedule, distance from home, and the coaching staff at Albany was the best fit.

An A student, Maloney spent the summer playing lacrosse for Nike Rising Senior Team (Champions), the Brine All-American National Lacrosse Classic (Champions) and also attended the 205 Camp where he was named to the All-Star team.

Lombardi Gives Verbal Commitment to Penn State

August 4, 2011 - Aquinas midfielder, Billy Lombardi has given his verbal commitment to play lacrosse at Penn State University. The rising junior (class of 2013) scored fifteen points as a sophomore on the L' ll Irish team and played this summer on the Nike Upstate Rising Junior team.

Riorden and Parke Make Verbal Commitments

August 3, 2011 - Two more rising senior Section Five player have made verbal commitment for D-I teams. Fairport goalie Blaze Riorden made his verbal commitment to Albany and Pittsford midfielder Corey Parke has made a verbal commitment to play at Georgetown.

Riorden, a two time Class A All-tournament team member was named to the first All Section Five list this spring after posting a 63% save year (137s-81ga) year at Fairport in his junior year. He was named #50 in the Inside Lacrosse Top rising Juniors in 2010. This summer he has been on the Upstate Under Armour Team, the Brine All-American National Classic and the Nike Upstate Rising Senior Team.

Parke also made the Class A All-Section team and was named to the second team All Section list. He was also a member of the Upstate Under Armour team, the Brine All-American Lacrosse National Classic Team and the Nike Upstate Rising Senior team. This season at Pittsford, Parke scored 36g-10a in his third year at Varsity.

Nick Weston Joins Four Commitments

July 14, 2011 - Aquinas Institute rising junior Nick Weston recently announced his verbal commitment to play at Syracuse University. Weston had a media mention after playing at the Maverik Showtime earlier in the summer and was a member of the Adidas All-American Classic recently. He joins the list of commitments that includes rising seniors Derek DeJoe (Fairport-Syracuse), Jake Vogl (AQ-Hartford), Matt Scharr (CA-Mercyhurst) and Mitch Rupp (Victor-Albany). 2010 Pittsford All-American, Joe Dupra recently announced that he is leaving Marist and will await his fall 2012 enrollment at the US Air Force Academy.
