-- Everyone on the Knight's roster got in the game tonight as McQuaid Jesuit beat the visiting Ramblers from Erie (PA) Cathedral Prep 11-5. Senior midfielder Ryan Williams scored his first of two goals just fifteen seconds into the game after Clark Hadley won the first of 12/14 face offs for the Knights. Williams scored the second goal at 6:21 with an assist from Ian Horning and later, Alex Paroda finished the first quarter scoring on an unassisted goal at 5:42. The Knights led 3-0 after twelve minutes.
McQuaid extended their run to five goals in a row, with scores by Hadley (unassisted) at 7:12 and Josh Bauer on an assist from Brian Nally at 5:18. The Ramblers scored their first goal of the game at 4:12 when senior middie Erik Hultgren scored the first of his four goals. The score at the halftime break was 5-1.
McQuaid scored another face off goal at the top of the third quarter, scoring just nine seconds into the period when Duncan Ayer passed the ball to Nally. Prep scored two in a row, taking the score to 6-3 with two more goals by Hultgren (unassisted). The Knights returned with two more goals before the end of the quarter. Hadley scored an unassisted goal at 6:08 and Ayer added another thirty seconds later.
Hultgren scored his last goal in the first minute of the fourth quarter. Sophomore defenseman Josh Swartzman returned with an unassisted goal at 7:43. The Ramblers saw junior midfielder Brandon Johnson score their last goal of the game at 5:35, and the Knights ended their day with unassisted goals by Hadley and Dave DeCocq.
Junior goalie Pat Sheridan started in the goal for McQuaid Jesuit, recording 3 saves. Junior goalie, Brendan Caufield took the last 11 minutes of the game, and recording 1s/1ga. For the Ramblers, senior goalie Adam Hagmaier played the full game, making 11 saves. They return to Erie Pennsylvania with a 4-3 record.

-- Outstanding defense was played by Nick Smith, Dom Savitcheff, Zak Bussey, Jordan Quayle, Joe Eddinger and DJ Goldstein as Canandaigua defeated Hamburg (Section 6) 7-4 in Buffalo tonight. After a 4-3 first quarter, the Braves held Hamburg scoreless for the next two periods, while taking their lead to 7-3 after three quarters. Hamburg scored the lone goal in the last quarter.
Matt Scharr led the offensive scoring with 4g-1a. Corey Griffin played the whole game in the goal and recorded 15 saves for CA. Mark Greer led the ground ball effort with 14.
Max Maxwell led the offense with 2g-1a and Thomas Lipomi made 10 saves for the Bulldogs (4-1).
