Once again this year, SportsFive will publish, each week, rankings in each class. SportsFive will continue to publish the New York State Sportswriters poll and will provide links to the Laxpower national polls.

Although we are now certainly into the season, the games results from last week have only resulted in a few changes at the top. A number of teams, however have earned higher placement this week.

CLASS A
We are keeping the top four spots in the same order this week, although we were looking forward to the Pittsford-Penfield game last week which was postponed for a couple of weeks. We are moving Rush-Henrietta up into #5 after beating Canandaigua.

CLASS B
Irondequoit, Brighton and McQuaid remain in the top three positions. Churchville-Chili, at 4-0, beat Aquinas last weekend (12-6) and previously beat Victor, who we have in #5 this week. Canandaigua, who has now lost to Thomas and R-H is still on the list, but they have a hard week, playing Fairport and Hamburg.

CLASS C
Aquinas lost to Churchville-Chili last week and we're ready to move the Mustangs up. We won't be surprised if there are a lot of changes in Class C as the weeks go by. We still like Pal-Mac, but they drop to Geneva who beat them 6-4 on Friday. The Panthers play at Penn Yan on Tuesday and at Midlakes on Thursday.

GAMES THIS WEEK

The brothers Whipple play again this week when Pittsford plays at Irondequoit on Tuesday. They are both competitive and although Irondequoit should have an edge, we're sure that Pittsford will have some surprise for the Eagles.

Tuesday is our largest number of games thus far this year. There are fifteen games scheduled as of now and thirteen more on Thursday.

There are lots of great games this week. On Tuesday, we think CA at Fairport, Pittsford at Irondequoit, Geneva at Penn Yan, Aquinas at McQuaid Jesuit and Bath at Livonia will be big games. On Thursday Irondequoit is at C-C and on Friday CA travels to Hamburg. On Saturday Fairport goes to J-D, Pittsford is at Brighton, Penfield is at Penn Yan and Irondequoit is at Geneva.

We bet there will be a few surprises among these games this week. Of course, if you team is playing, IT is the Game of the Week.
