This is the first regular season rankings and there have not been many games played yet that can help in determining position. Of the twenty-seven games played last week, only seven were league contests.
CLASS A
We have no changes in the order in class A this week. Fairport and Thomas remain in the first and second spots respectively. Fairport had a demonstrative win against Brighton yesterday. Thomas beat the Thunder and Eastridge by large numbers but face Irondequoit and Canandaigua this week.
Pittsford had wins against Schroeder and Victor (and McQuaid Jesuit last week). Penfield has the most wins in the Section (4-0) and had wins against R-H, Hilton, and HF-L. They will face Pittsford and Brighton this week, which will give us new ranking data for next week. Rush-Henrietta had an exciting win against Canandaigua this week. They have Livonia and Victor this week.
CLASS B
Irondequoit played a good game against a quality team from Ithaca and beat Brockport earlier in the week. They have one game scheduled (with Thomas on Tuesday). Brighton lost a tough game with Fairport but are 2-1 and will play Gates and Penfield this week.
After a week off, McQuaid Jesuit plays Penn Yan and Livonia this week which will give the Knights a chance to make a statement for next week's lists. Canandaigua plays Eastridge and Thomas this week. We have added Churchville-Chili to the watch list as the result of the win against Schroeder.
CLASS C
Aquinas beat Livonia and lost to Bishop Timon yesterday. They player Churchville-Chili next. Penn Yan narrowly beat Pal-Mac (10-9) and will play McQuaid and Carthage this week.
Pal-Mac justified their current ranks with a good performance against the Mustangs. They play Whitman and Geneva this week. Bath's one goal win against Mynderse will have to hold them for another week as they practice this week. Geneva starts there season against Mynderse on Tuesday.
GAMES THIS WEEK
There are lots of great games this week, although the weather forecast is for most cold temperatures. On Tuesday, we like Penfield at Pittsford, Livonia at R-H, Thomas at Irondequoit and Penn Yan at McQuaid Jesuit. On Thursday Pittsford is at Orchard Park. On Friday Geneva is at Pal-Mac. On Saturday we like Thomas at Canandaigua, C-C at Aquinas, Livonia at McQuaid Jesuit, Penfield at Brighton and if you feel like a road trip, Penn Yan is at Carthage.
Of course, if you team is playing, IT is the Game of the Week.
