- McQuaid Jesuit ended their league season 4-3 and 8-10 overall. The Knights finished as seeded in the McQuaid Jesuit 2009tournament with a first round win against Victor and a loss in the semi final game against Irondequoit. Graduation was fairly light on the Knights with only four players graduating. The loss of defenseman Walter Rodenhouse to Mercyhurst College will be the hardest felt. Rodenhouse was named to First Team GRALL last season. Additionally, the loss of senior Nick Wolak will hurt a bit in the offense. Wolak, who is playing at Brighton for his senior year, led in scoring last season with 35g-8a. However, the Knights are returning a key group of seniors that will provide the leadership; Tim Caton, Mike Crawford, David Haseley, Jack Pomeroy and James Sturnick.

Offensively the Knights are in building mode. Leading assister James Sturnick will be a key player for the Knights. Sturnick ended the season with 18g-9a. Joining him in the offense will be juniors Chris Barilla (10g-7a) and Alex Pochodylo (9g-2a) and senior Mike Crawford (9g-7a).

Defensively, McQuaid Jesuit is much stronger with the return of both Caton and Jake Bailey. Bailey and Caton both have signed letters for next season. Caton will be attending Sacred Heart and Bailey will be heading to UNC. Both were also named to First Team GRALL. Coach Paul Jordan will look to sophomore Pat Sheridan between the pipes. Sheridan was the back-up goalie last year and finished at 52% playing for 258 minutes over 10 games. He will be stepping in after last year's starting goal, Ethan Matteson, did not come out for the lacrosse.

Coach Jordan has an optimistic view coming in to the new season. "Several players have worked extremely hard in the off season and are sure to be a surprise on the field." After losing only their second GRALL title since the league's inception, the Knights are looking to get back on top with their fifth title this year. Coach Jordan has looked outside of the Section for their out of league games this year with contests against Corning West, Fayetteville-Manlius, Liverpool and St. Francis along with Section Five games with Pittsford and Penn Yan.
