- During their first season in Monroe County Division I the Cadets finished 2-4 in league and 9-7 overall. Hilton, seeded ninth in the tournament, defeated higher seeded Rush-Henrietta in the first round 10-7 and then lost to Fairport in the quarter finals. Hilton Hilton 2009stays in Division I this season and their new Head Coach, hopes to improve on their record.

Graduation was tough on the Cadets losing eleven players to graduation. Four continue to play lacrosse in college; Steve Bernsten (FLCC), Jimmy Gaffney (Nazareth), Alex Glathar (FLCC) and Aaron Hayward (Plattsburg). Bernsten led the team in goals last season and Matt Fracassi led in assists and points with 41g-16a. Of the eleven seniors, nine were named to All League teams. Only three returning players were named to All League and all were named to the Honorable Mention list.

Current juniors David Smith and Kyle Youngman were both named to All League Honorable Mention at midfield. They will be joined at the midfield by senior Mike Barbone with juniors Mike Meeks and Evan Pace leading the attack. Barbone is expected to attend Alfred in the fall to continue his lacrosse career. The entire returning offense for the Cadets scored 47 goals and had 12 assists last season.

Seniors Mike Santiago and Dylan Hickey and sophomore Shane Endres will step into the newly vacated defense. They will have big shoes to fill with the loss of Glathar, Hayward and LSM Frank Turrie. Junior Ken Stiles returns for his second year between the pipes. He finished last season at 54% with 164 saves.

Head Coach Tony Levine, in his first year with the Cadets, is looking at strong JV team moving up saying, "Last year the JV was 11-3 and that group is now moving up to Varsity. I am looking for big things in the future of Hilton lacrosse." Coach Levin has a long history with local lacrosse, including stints as Head Coach at McQuaid Jesuit and Assistant Coach at RIT.

With thirteen mandatory games for Monroe County Divisions I and II there is only room for three out of league games. Hilton has scheduled games against Division III teams Eastridge and Brighton and out of Section opponent Frontier (Section VI).
