- Bloomfield-Honeoye returns for their third Varsity season in Section Five with a new mascot and is looking to improve on last year's 4-11 record (4-4 in league). After five years of the joint teams BH Logousing a variety of mascots the team looked to what the two programs had in common to find their new mascot. Coach Jack Beaney writes, "Both towns' have tremendous PRIDE'. I have worked with thousands of kids for almost twenty years and PRIDE accurately exemplifies the intense competitive spirit of the kids."

Graduation only took four players from the 2009 roster. The hardest felt loss will be in midfielder Zach Stevens who was a key face-off man for the Pride and led by example for the entire team. Max Weber, named to the All League Honorable Mention list, will also be missed on the offense.

Offensively the Pride returns their leading scorer in Sean Beaney (25g-23a) who was named to First Team All League (midfield) list in Finger Lakes division II. Senior Luke Anderson and underclassmen Zach Hammond (junior) and Luke Blain (sophomore) will all be key players in the attack for Bloomfield-Honeoye. Blain, during his freshman year, tied with Anderson for the most points in a single game with 8 points (5g-3a) against Mynderse Academy. Anderson finished with 6g-2a in the same game for Bloomfield-Honeoye.

Defensively, the Pride will look to returning starting goalie Jay Nichols. Nichols finished last year with an Honorable Mention award and finished with 140 saves spanning 12 games. The defense is also returning some key players as Zach Blain, Eamon D-Kane and Jake Stevens all return. Blain and D-Kane were named to the Honorable Mention list and Stevens was named to the Second Team. The return of D-Kane to LSM will help the Pride in the transition game.

With the coming together of the Finger Lakes divisions, this will be another building year for the relatively new program. With eight teams in the Finger Lakes division, only two out of league games are allowed and Coach Beaney has scheduled two games against Bishop Kearney.
