 --  The Braves had a first half shutout on their way to an 11-6 victory over visiting Hamburg (Section Six - Buffalo), tonight at Canandaigua Academy.

Sparked by Nick King's seventeen saves in the cage and with excellent play by long poles, Matt George, AJ Fingar, Nick Smith, Mike Reed and Jake Smith, the Braves took the first quarter 2-0 and led at the half 5-0.

Deven Alves (3g-3a), Brandon Thomson (3g-1a) and Adam Knapton (1g-2a) led the offensive book for Canandaigua (13-1). Senior midfielder, Parker Weeks helped control ball time, winning 12 of 18 face offs for the Braves.

Hamburg (12-3), a Class B school currently ranked right behind CA (5th) on the NYSSWA poll, saw an excellent performance from their goalie, James Maxwell (14s/11ga) and was led, offensively, by Max Maxwell (2g) and Ryan Feurenstein (1g-2a). The Bulldogs finish their regular season with Williamsville East on Tuesday and North on Thursday.
