-- Fairport traveled to Section Six (Buffalo) today to take a 15-4 win over Niagara Wheatfield. After a slow 2-1 first quarter start, the Red Raiders scored seven goals in the second for a 9-2 half.
Leading the offensive charge were Martin Manilla (4g-2a), Brendon Saylor (4g-2a) and Chris Button (4g-2a). Steve Danylyshyn won twelve of fourteen face offs and led in ground balls with seven for Fairport (7-0).
-- It was a tough day for Irondequoit, traveling to Ithaca where the Little Red won 14-8 in a non-league game. Ithaca (7-0) is ranked fourth in the latest NYSSWA Class A poll.
