Monroe County Division 1 and Division 2 has still not played league games yet, and most of last week's information comes from out-on league play, so there are, once again, only a few changes in the rankings.
There still is no doubt that Fairport, Canandaigua and Penn Yan below the odds-on favorites in each class. Al three are currently undefeated (and so is Brighton) but there are so many games yet to be played.
This is vacation week and most teams are taking it easy this week, scheduling few games and (in some cases) taking time off.
CLASS A
Fairport remains undefeated at 6-0, beating C-C and Thomas and Pittsford won their game with Irondequoit and won a good game (in overtime) against Thomas last week. Schroeder lost in a one goal game against Penn Yan and will play CA on Tuesday. C-C plays R-H this week. Fairport plays Niagara Wheatfield and JD, Penfield has a game with Binghamton and Pittsford will play big games with AQ and HFL.
CLASS B
Canandaigua has won twenty-six in a row and after a big win against Corning East last week, will play Schroeder on Tuesday. Thomas plays Livonia and Aquinas, Irondequoit has a game at Ithaca and McQuaid plays Bishop Kearney and Potsdam. Brighton plays Hilton on Thursday and HFL has games with Spencerport and Pittsford.
CLASS C
We have made a number of adjustments in Class C. Bloomfield-Honeoye now has wins against Geneva, Pal-Mac and Midlakes and will play Kearney on Saturday. Geneva will play Whitman and Waterloo this week while Midlakes takes the week off.
GAMES THIS WEEK
There are twenty-six scheduled games this week and a number of really good match-ups which include:
On Tuesday Penn Yan plays Lakeland/Panas (Section), but since it is away, most people won't check that one out. On Thursday Aquinas travels to Pittsford (5:00).
On Friday the annual Penn - Canandaigua match will be played at 7:00 PM (in Penn Yan) and on Saturday Thomas will be at Aquinas (1:00 PM).
Of course, if your team is playing, it is the Game of the Week.
