-- Bloomfield-Honeoye scored the only goal in the first quarter, but Newark rallied with three before the half to take a 3-2 halftime score to an 8-6 win at Honeoye this afternoon.
A four goal run by the Pride in the last quarter made the score 7-6. Newark's Alex Peake won the face off with help on the wing by Alex Thoms and then then found Luke Hartman for the eighth and final goal of the game. Senior attackman Luke Hartman (5g) was the offensive leader for the Reds.
Coach Henry Kuperus explained the win. "The players believe the game was won because Captain Jack Timerson gave up his coin toss calling position to Captain Nate 'Bones' Gardner and won it. I believe it was because for the first time this year we played together as a team defensively as well as offensively. "
