-- Bloomfield-Honeoye won their third game in a row, this one in overtime as the Pride beat Midlakes 11-10 in Finger Lakes action today.
Although B-H scored the first two goals, Midlakes came back with four unanswered and led at the half 6-4. The Pride won the last two quarters 3-2 and 3-2. B-H senior goalie Jay Nichols made ten saves the first quarter and finished with seventeen while leading the defense past six and a half minutes of man down play.
Senior attackman Luke Anderson (3g-1a) scored the tying goal with an assist from Zach Hammond (4g-1a) and just twenty-four seconds left in the game. Hammond scored the winner (unassisted) with 2:40 left in the first over time period.
"This was a great game, all the kids worked really hard and Jay Nichols played an amazing game in the goal for us," commented Coach Jack Beaney after the win. "In a game with this many opportunities for both squads he had to be considered the difference."
