During the off-season the SportsFive crew have been working on enhancements and new features for the new year. Here are a few of the changes you can expect to see this year. |
Get the Scores on Your Cell Phone
Sign up of our new text messaging system and receive text messages when the scores are posted. You can receive all scores, or just specific teams and you can choose to get them as they come in or once at the end of the day.
Don't have text messaging? You can can also have the scores sent to your e-mail account.
Sign up now and test out the system.
Game Day Mapping
Do you want to see where the games will be played on game day? Our new mapping program will point the way.
With our Goggle mapping interface you can see Section Five or zoom right down to the game field and as the scores are reported they will be displayed as well.
Want to see an example? Check out last year's games on May 26th and zoom around.
New Box-Score Game Reports
This year, when the game reports begin, you will see a new format for each game that gives you the quick view of the game, with the players scoring goals and assists and the goal performance stats along with the scores by quarter.
Player stats are linked in the box to their Player profile records.

The Player Profile Area
The "Player Profile" area contains individual pages for each of the more than 2,300 Section Five lacrosse players in the database. Information includes the player's team, class, scorebook data (starting in 2007), sectional awards won and a comment area, where team awards, club team membership and other lacrosse information may be found.
The "College Lists" are an effort to keep track of graduates who are continuing to play lacrosse at the college level.
Understanding that information is constantly changing we are happy to have Coaches, parents and players request updates or changes.
Check out the Player Profile Section.
