May 22, 2009 - Livonia was a 9-3 over Pal-Mac, Hilton won their game 16-9 over Victor and Midlakes beat bath 15-12.
Hilton 16 - Victor 9
-- Hilton defeated Victor 16-9. The Cadets used the third quarter to cement their victory with nine unanswered goals. Hilton held the Blue Devils scoreless for 18:30.
Hilton started off strong, scoring the first five goals of the game within the first seven minutes. Mike Crumlish, Brett Endres, Steve Bernsten, Kyle Youngman and David Smith scored for the Cadets. Victor's Trevor O'Shea scored the lone Blue Devil goal of the first quarter. The Cadets looked good at the end of the first quarter with a 5-1 lead.
As the second quarter started Victor kept up their scoring adding three more goals. O'Shea kept up the pressure with another unassisted goal. Mitch Rupp and Matt Koval also scored for the Blue Devils. With 7:05 remaining, Endres scored his second goal for the Cadets and increased their lead back to two goals. However, the Blue Devils came right back and made up the deficit. The first goal was O'Shea's third goal of the game. The final goal of the first half was scored during man-up with Koval assisting Vince Pettrone. The game was tied 6-6 after at halftime.
In the third quarter the Cadets took off with ten straight unanswered goals, spanning into the fourth quarter. Victor attempted to come back and had a strong showing in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too big to overcome. Victor scored the final three goals of the game with Mitch Rupp scoring two goals (assisted by Alex Montemorano and Koval). Connor Kimball scored the final goal for the Blue Devils with 1:29 remaining.
In the cage, Ken Stiles played the majority of the game for Hilton with the exception of the final three minutes (with Jareth Wischmeyer getting in between the pipes). Stiles finished with 9 saves and 8 goals against. Wischmeyer finished with two saves. For the Blue Devils, Kevin Donnelly played two and a half quarters and finished with five saves. Steve Basile finished the game and had one save and two goals against.
Andrew Pfeffer had a strong night at the face-off for Victor, winning 15/26. Kyle Youngman led the Cadets with five ground balls, followed by Crumlish with four. Kimball, TJ DiSanto, Pfeffer and Nick Waseleski all had three ground balls for the Blue Devils.
Scoring for Hilton were Steve Bernsten (4g-1a), Matt Fracassi (1g-3a), Brett Endres (3g-1a), Mike Crumlish (2g-2a), David Smith (3g), Kyle Youngman (2g-1a) and Jimmy Gaffney (1g-2a).
Scoring for Victor were Trevor O'Shea (3g), Mitch Rupp (3g), Matt Koval (1g-2a), Vince Pettrone (1g-1a), Connor Kimball (1g) and Alex Montemorano (1a).

Livonia 9 - Pal-Mac 3
-- Livonia score five goals in the first quarter and held Pal-Mac scoreless until the third quarter as they won their game today with a score of 9-3.
Coach Bret Wood was complementary after the game. "We played a very good first quarter and got off to a solid start on offense by being patient and waiting for good shots. [ Pal-Mac senior goalie Tim] Doyle will make a lot of saves". "Defensively we played very smart."
Scoring for Livonia were Wyatt Struble (1g-1a), Mike Donals (1g), Chris Bausch (3g), Jeff Wester (2g-5a), Adam Wingate (1g) and Charlie Bergen (1g). Justin Becker made 6s/2ga (43 mins) and Ethan Jamison had 0s/1ga (5 mins) for the Bulldogs (12-6).

Midlakes 15 - Bath 12
-- Bath started with a 6-3 lead after the first quarter, but Midlakes came back with four unanswered goals before the half to give the Eagles a 7-6 lead at the break. Midlakes took the third quarter 5-2 and Bath took the last quarter 4-3 as Midlakes won 15-12 at home on Senior night. "I am extremely proud of the boys for their come back," said Midlakes Head Coach Rich Doan. "Ben Uveges came up with his third big game in a row and Tyler Brooks-Lambert was great at face offs today."
Rams Coach Ken DiDomineck said, "Midlakes' transition offense was the difference in the game. It got them back in the game at the end of the first quarter and kept them out of our reach as we attempted to come back."
Scoring for Midlakes were Mike Newland (2g), Matt Barilla (2g-1a), Ben Uveges (3g-4a), Nick Judge (2g-1a), Tom Cheney (1a), Rob Buchwald (2a) and Cory Gray (3g). Tucker Jensen recorded 13s/12ga for the Eagles who finish their regular season with an 11-7 record.
Scoring for Bath were Tyler Reed (3g-1a), Zach Reed (1g-4a), Mark Martuscello (2g), Brian Gable (2g), Cole Beebe (2g), Nick Rossi (1g-1a), Tyler Brooks-Lambert (3g-1a), Andy Nesbitt (1g) and Drew Wager (1a). Chris Wolfer made 9s/12ga (41 mins) and Tyler Reed had 4s/3ga (7 mins) for the Rams (8-8) who will finish their regular season with a game against Batavia tomorrow.
