Monday: Bath, Pittsford and Hamburg Win tonight
 -  Pittsford beat Gates Chili 15-1 in a Monroe County crossover game. Hamburg came to HFL and won 14-0 and Bath was a 15-5 winner over Mynderse Academy in three games on Monday.

 

Pittsford 15 - Gates Chili 1 

updated --  Pittsford defeated Gates-Chili 15-1 this afternoon, scoring the first 14 goals of the game. Gates-Chili's Grant Ferguson scored the lone goal for the Spartans with 3:24 remaining in the game. Pittsford's scoring was led by James Purpura with 6 goals and 2 assists.

Pittsford combined for 18/19 face-off wins. James Burke finished with 11/12, Tyler Aycock finished 3/3 and Alex Kober 4/4. Burke (6) and Steven Troop (4) led in ground balls for the Panthers. Ferguson, Zack Smith, Zack Kemp and Steven Campaniello each had three ground balls for the Spartans.

In the cage, Pittsford played three goalies. Alex Howell finished with 4 saves, Harry Goluses had 1 save and Ernie Hook finished with 2 saves and 1 goal against. Jason Baetzhold played the entire game for the Spartans finishing with 13 saves.

Scoring for Pittsford were Purpura (6g-2a), Thomas Rodenhouse (2g-3a), TJ Iuppa (2g-2a), Kober (1g-2a), Matt Gold (1g-1a), Moulton (1g-1a), Matt Leone (1g), Brian Kelly (1g), Burke (1a) and Corey Park (1a).

Scoring for Gates-Chili was Ferguson (1g).

Hamburg 14 - HFL 0  

 --  Hamburg of Section 6 came to HFL and won their contest 11-0. The Bulldogs scored two in the first quarter and added four more before the half. "Our defense played very well the entire the game. We just played to much defense and Hamburg played a great defensive game", said Cougar Head Coach Todd Morgan.

Scoring for Hamburg were Adam Dings (1g-1a), Josh Kerr (2a), Kyle Nowak (1g), Ryan Feuerstein (2g), Christopher Feuerstein (4g), Matt Springer (2g-2a), Shawn Needham (1a), Dan Patrone (1a) and Nick Boyd (1g). James Maxwell played the entire game and recorded 5 saves for the bulldogs.

Jay Tallon played the entire game for The Cougars and recorded 12 saves including a number of dramatic one.

 

Bath 15 - Mynderse 5   

updated --  Bath won the first quarter, 4-2 and led at the half 7-3 on their way to a 15-5 win at Mynderse Academy. The Rams scored five unanswered goals in the third. Nine players made the scorebook led by Zach Reed with 3g-4a.

Scoring for Bath were Zach Reed (3g-5a), Tyler Reed (3g-2a), Mark Martuscello (3g-1a), Nick Rossi (2g-1a), Brian Gable (2g), Eric Dickson (2a), Drew Wager (1g-1a ), Cole Beebe (1g-1a) and Brent Harrison (1a). Chris Wolfer made 8s/3ga (36 mins) and Tyler Reed added 5s/2ga (12 minutes) for the Rams (7-7).

Scoring for Mynderse were Steve Lucchesi (2g-1a), Nick Giovannini (1g), Charlie Barbay (2a), Matt Koopman (1g), Thomas Burke (1g) and A.J. Bachman (1a). Tim Trickler had 17s/13ga (40 mins) and Brad Dove had 2s/2ga (8 mins) for the Blue Devils.
