Once again this year, SportsFive will publish, each week, rankings in each class. SportsFive will continue to publish the New York State Sportswriters poll and will provide links to the Laxpower national polls.

Other than sorting out the HM spots in Class A, this remain the same this week.

CLASS A
Fairport (9-1) has won their last four games since their loss to Penn Yan on April 18th. Thomas (9-1) also has a four game winning streak since their loss to Fairport on April 22nd. Pittsford remains in third place but C-C had a hard week losing to both Penfield and Hilton and helping to sort out the rest of the Class A rankings.

Penfield moves into number four and Hilton moves to number 5. The Patriots beat Hilton on April 23rd. Churchville (#6) beat Schroeder (#7) on April 14th.

Pittsford takes on both Hilton on Tuesday and Penfield on Thursday.

CLASS B
There are no changes in the Class be rankings this week. Canandaigua (9-2) and Irondequoit (7-3) remain in the top two spots. The Eagles split their games this week, beating Aquinas and losing to Fairport. CA won both of their games.

McQuaid Jesuit (5-8) won two GRALL games last week but lost to Thomas. Brighton is 7-2 and HFL is 4-4.

Canandaigua hosts Fairport on Tuesday night, which we call the "Game of the Week". Although they will not play each other in the post season, there are lots of braggin' rights on the line.

CLASS C
There are no changes in Class C either. Penn Yan (9-1) won their two games last week. Aquinas (11-2) beat Brighton and lost to Irondequoit last week. Livonia (7-4) lost to McQuaid Jesuit last week but play them again this week, along with Midlakes, Bath and Whitman.

Penn Yan has two "should win" games and then finishes the week visiting Hamburg who beat Schroeder on April 24th by a goal. Aquinas plays C-C for the second time (on Monday). They won the first game 11-8. They play Bath on Friday. Livonia plays four games this week Starting with Midlakes and ending with Whitman, with Bath and McQuaid Jesuit in between.

GAMES THIS WEEK

It's a busy week, with games each day Monday through Saturday and a total of 47 games. Tuesday has 12 games and Thursday and Saturday each have 14.

For the "Game of the Week", we like Fairport at Canandaigua on Tuesday (7:00 PM), but we also expect to see many blow outs this week. Let's hope that coaches are kind and that a lot of kids that don't get to see a lot of time, do so this week.
