Once again this year, SportsFive will publish, each week, rankings in each class. SportsFive will continue to publish the New York State Sportswriters poll and will provide links to the Laxpower national polls.

This week Fairport takes over the top slot in Class A, McQuaid Jesuit moves up and we set an order in Class C.

CLASS A
Fairport (7-1) was a 12-7 winner last week, when they played Thomas and on that basis, the Red Raiders take the top position in Class A. Thomas (6-1) moves to #2. The rest of the group remains the same.

Pittsford takes on Fairport on Tuesday and Fairport plays Irondequoit on Thursday. Thomas plays for the "Webster Title" when they play Schroeder on Tuesday and they play McQuaid Jesuit on Saturday.

It's a big week for Churchville-Chili. They lost to Irondequoit by one goal last week and this week they play Penfield and Hilton which may help us to sort out an order in Class A.

CLASS B
Canandaigua (6-2) and Irondequoit (6-2) remain in the top two spots. McQuaid Jesuit moves up as a result of their win over Brighton, who moves down to #4. HFL remains an Honorable Mention.

Canandaigua plays three games this week, starting with Geneva and ending with Hamburg who could be the Section VI champions in Class B at the end of May. Irondequoit also has a challenging week with games against Aquinas and Fairport. McQuaid Jesuit hosts Bath in their only game this week. Brighton will play Aquinas this week.

CLASS C
Penn Yan (7-1) and Aquinas (10-1) remain in the top two spots. Even though Bath beat Livonia last week (and it was an exciting win for Bath), the Bulldogs were missing some key players, so we are leaving Livonia in the #3 position.

Penn Yan has two games this week and Aquinas plays Brighton and Irondequoit. Livonia has McQuaid Jesuit and Bloomfield-Honeoye this week and Bath also play Owego. Geneva plays Canandaigua and Marcus Whitman.

GAMES THIS WEEK

There are forty games scheduled for this week including sixteen on Thursday alone.

For the "Game of the Week", we like Irondequoit at Fairport on Thursday (5:00 PM), but Irondequoit at Aquinas will be a good one as well. There are also important games like Churchville-Chili/Penfield and Pittsford/Fairport.

Fun match-ups this week are headlined by the "All Webster" game, featuring Thomas at Schroeder (6:00 PM on Thursday), which is an important game for the players and coaches.
