This week there is some movement in the rankings as teams won or lost significant games.
CLASS A
Thomas (5-0) and Fairport (5-1) remain in their places, but will play for the ranking this week on Wednesday (5:00 PM at Thomas).
Pittsford (5-2) had wins last week against Eastridge and Schroeder. Their single game this week is against McQuaid Jesuit. The Panthers beat Churchville-Chili by one goal back at the end of March so that gives them an edge. The Saints (4-4) played Irondequoit to a one goal loss last week and will play Penfield and Hilton this week.
Hilton, Schroeder and Penfield make honorable mention. Hilton and Penfield play on Thursday. Schroeder had a tough week and will play Gates Chili on Tuesday and a very tough team from Hamburg (Section VI) on Saturday.
CLASS B
We moved Brighton (5-0) up to number three and eventually we will add a fourth as we get toward the Tournaments. Perhaps McQuaid Jesuit or HFL will be that team. Brighton plays McQuaid Jesuit and the Knights play Aquinas this week.
CLASS C
Penn Yan (4-1) and Aquinas (7-1) remain in the top two positions. Penn Yan and Fairport played a great game on Saturday, with top goalie play at both ends of the field. Geneva had a tough week, with losses to Aquinas, Livonia and Schroeder). Livonia (6-0) will play Aquinas on Thursday.
GAMES THIS WEEK
There are thirty-nine games scheduled for this week and lots of good match-ups.
For the "Game of the Week", we like Fairport at Thomas on Wednesday (5:00 PM). There are also important games like Aquinas/Livonia, Penfield/Hilton and Brighton/McQuaid Jesuit.
Fun match-ups this week are numerous. Gates-Chili/Schroeder, McQuaid Jesuit/Aquinas, Pittsford McQuaid Jesuit, Irondequoit/Ithaca and Fairport/Jamesville-DeWitt (Section III) should all be exciting games.
