- Waterloo ended their league season third in Finger Lakes Division II with a 6-4 record (6-12 overall). Seeded sixth in the Class C tournament the Indians lost to Bath in the first round and finished as seeded. This waterlooseason Waterloo moves from division II to division I and joins Penn Yan, Geneva, Canandaigua and Newark.

Waterloo graduated three seniors last year, all of whom were awarded league honors: Curtis Brosuis (1st), Kevin Wright (1st) and Nicholas Leeber (HM). Coach Tyrone Thomas says, "We need guys to step up and fill those guys roles on our team."

On offense, the Indians will look to Peter Vacca to lead. Vacca led the team in goals and points last season with 35g-14a. Also returning are Jeff Wadhams (22-12) and Rob Goodenow (24-4). Wadhams and Goodenow were third and fourth in points for Waterloo.

Defensively, the Indians look to Joe Vacca (2nd) and Jordan Cook (HM). Coach Thomas says "we will be very young but we will look to Jordan Cook and Joe Vacca for leadership." Zach Ramirez will also be returning between the pipes. Ramirez finished last season with 136 saves (51%).

With the divisional change, Waterloo will have to step up. After last season's ups and downs, the Indians look for a more stable game-to-game performances. Coach Thomas and his team need "to stay focused, work hard and play good fundamental lacrosse and see where we end up when the smoke clears." Coach Thomas has scheduled out of league games against Bloomfield-Honeoye, Midlakes, Mynderse, Pal-Mac and Markus Whitman.
