- Eastridge ended their league season fifth in Monroe County Division II with a 2-8 record (4-12 overall). Seeded sixth in the Class B tournament the Lancers defeated third seeded Victor in the quarter finals, however lost to second seeded Aquinas in the semifinals. eastridge

Graduation was rough on the Lancers. They lost eleven seniors, five of whom were named to the All County team. Included in the loss where the leading goal scorer, Brandon Moynihan, the leading assister, Matt Driffill, and starting goalie, Eugene Ferrera. It will be difficult for the Lancers to make up for some of these losses. Eastridge is returning 13 players, all of whom are seniors but only three started in 2008. The Lancers will look to Riley Austin, Tim Davidson and Adam Sisson as leaders this season.

Offensively, the Lancers may have some trouble. Only five players are returning who scored any points last season. The Lancers will look to Austin in the attack and Sisson at midfield. Sisson has proved himself in the past to be a strong face-off man that will get the Lancers the ball and Austin stepped up last year after the injury of his brother Alex Austin. Both have demonstrated that they know what it takes to win. Last season, the Lancers proved what could be done with a small team devastated by controversy and injury and they look to continue that strength this year. Trevor Horne and Joe Mortillaro will join Sisson at midfield and look to improve on a disappointing junior years.

Coach Jasson Jobson writes, "the strength of this year's team is going to be at our defense." Davidson is returning to the close defense and will lead the Lancers. Justin Walsh, who was named to HM list last season at defensive midfield, will move to close defense this season for added experience. The loss of Ferrera will be hard felt; however, last year's backup goalie Jake Czwilinski will step in. Czwilinski played 97 minutes last season and finished with 53% (28 saves).

With the new league divisional orientation Lancers are in a much more challenging league this season. Games with Webster Thomas, Irondequoit and Churchville-Chili will all test the Lancers dedication. Additionally, out of league games against Brighton, both Greece programs, and Spencerport are scheduled. Coach Jobson says, "The Lancers have a very tough schedule and are hoping that their hard work and determination will allow them to compete this year."
