- Webster Schroeder ended their league season third in Monroe County Division I with a 6-4 record (8-8 overall). Seeded sixth in the Class A tournament the Warriors lost to third seeded Penfield in the quarterfinals schroeder6-5 in overtime and finished as seeded. The Warriors had a hard fought game, but just couldn't come out on top to defeat the Patriots.

Schroeder graduated 17 seniors last year in one of the Section's largest graduating classes. Of the 17 seniors, seven continue to play lacrosse this season in college: Mike Tota (Cortland), Shane Farrell (Clarkson), David D'Ambrosia (Keuka), Anthony Stripe (Keuka), Nick Mooney (MCC), Eric Horeth (MCC) and Joe Matison (MCC).

Tota's graduation hurts the Warrior offense, however, the return of attackman Cody Consul will help. Consul (29g-10a) led the Warriors in goals last season and will be a key for them this season. Chris Topping, Chris Mason, Mark Saltrelli and Pete Noto will be key midfielders for Schroeder. Topping will also continue at face-offs this season and hopefully keep the ball in offensive possession.

Schroeder's defense will be anchored by returning starting goalie, sophomore Scott Tota. Tota finished last season with 160 saves (58%). Coach Matt Petz notes, "we have some defensemen with experience in Dustin Kiellach, Ryan Martin and Mike Blood."

Coach Petz also writes, "We look forward to a great season and hope to make some noise in the Sectionals." He has scheduled out of league contests against, Penn Yan, Geneva, Amherst, Hamburg. Each of these games should prepare the Warriors for the post season.
