Given the results of last week's schedule, there is only one change in the week two rankings.
CLASS A
The top three positions remain unchanged this week. Thomas (4-0) had demonstrative wins against Aquinas (17-6) and Rush-Henrietta (15-4). Their game with Canisius was postponed and has not yet been rescheduled. This week the Patriots have a single game which is with Eastridge on Thursday.
Fairport (4-0) had a dominant win against Churchville-Chili on Thursday which they won 17-5. This week they play Rush on Thursday and in the "game of the week" they will play Penn Yan on Saturday afternoon.
Schroeder didn't play last week and will have a a full week with C-C on Tuesday, Pittsford on Thursday and Geneva on Saturday. All three games will be good ones to watch.
Penfield is now (1-2) but their losses are to Irondequoit and Thomas. They have HFL, Loyola Academy (IL) and Binghamton this week. Pittsford (3-2) has Eastridge and Schroeder this week. Churchville-Chili (3-3) faces Schroeder and Irondequoit and Gates Chili (1-2) will play Victor on Tuesday and Hilton on Thursday.
We have added Hilton (2-1) to the list this week. Their two run away wins against Eastridge and HFL and their close 6-8 loss to Irondequoit are noteworthy. They will play Brockport and Gates this week.
CLASS B
There are no changes in Class B with Canandaigua (1-1) and Irondequoit (4-1) in one and two respectively. Canandaigua has a strong 15-5 win against Penn Yan. The Braves will play McQuaid Jesuit on Wednesday and a tough Corning East on Friday. Irondequoit beat Hilton and Pittsford last week and has Rush-Henrietta and Churchville-Chili this week. Brighton is 4-0 and plays Victor and McQuaid Jesuit this week.
CLASS C
There are no changes this week in Class C. Penn Yan (1-1) lost to CA last week and will play play a tough schedule that includes Carthage and Fairport. Coach Hobart loves to load up on the though games that always seems to harden the boys for the end of the season tournaments.
Geneva (1-1) beat Waterloo last week and will face Aquinas, Livonia and Schroeder this week, all quality wins if they are successful. Aquinas (5-1), with a win against Bath and a loss to Thomas last week could move up if they beat Geneva this week. They will also play against Erie Prep on Saturday.
GAMES THIS WEEK
There are lots of games this week, with ten on Tuesday and Thursday and nine on Saturday. There are a smaller number on Monday, Wednesday and Friday too.
Although there are a bunch of good match ups, the "Game of the Week" will most probably be Fairport at Penn Yan on Saturday. Not only are these two good team, who both really want this win, but they are evenly matched in a number of areas.
Other games of interest include Schroeder/Geneva, Brighton/Victor, Pittsford/Schroeder, Gates/Hilton, Aquinas/Geneva and C-C Schroeder. (It's a big week for the Warriors.)
