March 27, 2009 - Corning West won an 8-7 overtime victory over visiting Geneva and McQuaid Jesuit won a 6-5 victory over visiting Frontier in action tonight.
McQuaid Jesuit 6 - Frontier 5
-- The Knights won a 6-5 victory over Frontier (Section 6) in a game held tonight at McQuaid Jesuit. Sophomore goalie Ethan Matteson had 8 saves including a key save with 0:05 left in the game.
Scoring for McQuaid Jesuit were Eric Wright and John Jenkins who each scored 2g, James Sturnick (1g-1a) and Nick Wolak (1g). Alex Pautler and
Bobby Stuver each added (1a) for the Knights (1-2).
Corning West 8 - Geneva 7 OT
-- Corning West needed overtime to beat visiting Geneva, 8-7 tonight. Geneva had six penalties, three of which were in the 4th quarter and Corning scored man-up goals on all three.
