Saturday - Western beats ADK 11-4
 -  Western played a smart game and defeated Adirondack 11-4. Western attack led their scoring with 9/11 goals. Adirondack had four different players score.

Adam Trombley had the star performance for Western, finishing with 3g-1a. Trombley started the scoring for Western on a broken clear interception. Trombley kept things going by feeding Drew Coholan after his drive from behind the cage. Coholan added another two goals to his tournament total (11g-3a). Those were the only two goals of the first quarter as Western was slow and methodical and often took chunks of time off the clock with each possession.

western-ADKThe second quarter started with more Western scoring. Adirondack added their first goal of the game with 0:00.2 remaining on the clock when Andrew Vivian drove wide from behind the cage and shot as he fell away from the cage. Jonathan Lawless played most of the game in the cage for Western with Scott Tota coming in at the five minute mark of the fourth quarter. Lawless finished with 5s/3ga (63%). In the second quarter, Western added goals from, Jeff Tundo, James Dwyer, Matt Springer and Nick Scalzo. Dwyer was one of two midfielders to score for Western.

Western worked a lot of time off the clock in an effort to keep Adirondack`s score low, to help their chances of getting into the Gold Medal game.

In the third quarter, Western outscored ADK 2-1. Western scored the first two goals as Springer drove behind the cage then dropped his shoulder on the shot from just above GLE. Mitch Keefer, the other midfielder to score for Western, scored with a roll back on a medium range side-arm shot that went right above Robert Wordwell`s head. Wordwell played the entire game for Adirondack and finished with 3s/11ga. Adirondack`s Luke Walsh added a goal for his team with a side-arm shot and a feed from behind the cage from Daniel Slipperly. Western led 8-2 after three quarters.

western-ADKIn the fourth, ADK scored two more goals. Western`s Trombley added his second goal of the game with a feed from Keefer. Dan Fiora scored with an assist from Vivian. At this point (5:05 remaining) Western pulled Lawless for Tota. Tota finished the game with 2s/1ga. Coholan drove from the top for the next Western goal. Trombley followed with another Western goal on an inside dodge and shot to the upper left corner. The final goal of the game came with 0:16 remaining on the clock as Andrew Vivian found Rory Nunamacher along the right side of the cage during an EMO.

Guy Walktman led ADK in ground balls with 3. Kyle Van Thof (5), Matt Tobia (3) and Clay Del Prince (3) led Western`s ground ball totals. Tyler Travis had two takes for Western.

Scoring for Western were Trombley (3g-1a), Springer (2g), Coholan (2g), Van Thof (2a), Keefer (1g-1a), Scalzo (1g), Tundo (1g), Dwyer (1g).

Scoring for Adirondack were Vivian (1g-2a), Fiora (1g), Nunamacher (1g), Walsh (1g) and Slipperly (1a).
