After some important match ups,
we are finally starting to see some "shake out" in Class A.
CLASS A
We finally get to shake up Class A shakes up this week after a number of important
games: Penfield defeating Irondequoit, Schroeder defeating Fairport, and Pittsford
beating both Gates Chili and RH. Pittsford steps up as a strong competitor
with their first MC-1 win in a while and demonstrates that they are stronger
than MC-3 powerhouse Gates-Chili. Schroeder also demonstrated that they are
not to be taken lightly with their very big 13-4 win over Fairport.
Penfield's
11-7 win over Irondequoit moves them into the second spot. We still feel that
Canandaigua is the team to beat, with Penfield and Irondequoit close behind.
The second time that the Patriots and Eagles face each other will be a game
to watch.
This week we move away from Honorable Mention and rank the top 8
teams in A. McQuaid Jesuit stays strong at 7-4 even though they lost to Livonia.
CLASS B
Class B has one addition this week. In looking forward to the "Final
Four" and after the HFL v. Eastridge game this week, we are inserting
the Cougars into the fourth spot of Class B. Aquinas and Victor stay strong
in second and third. Even after a tough loss to defending State Champion, Jamesville-DeWitt,
the Panthers hold on to the number one spot.
CLASS C
Class C also remains the same. This week will see some key games for the Class
C rankings. On Tuesday, Bath and Livonia will face each other for the second
time this season, Bath will look for the first GRALL win and Livonia will look
for a more dominant win than their 7-5 win on April 8th. Waterloo faces Pal-Mac
for the second time and this time with their roster back to strength and hope
to reassert themselves with the victory.
GAMES THIS WEEK
Most of the big games this week are on Tuesday where we will see Penfield and
Fairport, Pittsford and Schroeder, Bath and Livonia and Geneva and Victor in
exciting match ups. On Thursday, Irondequoit and Schroeder play their round
two game.
The week-by-week list
is available. On the "Stat Blog", Kyle writes
about The Leader Board and the lack of Monroe County players near the top.
