ESG Western Team Announced |
June 29, 2006 - The Empire State Team for Western
New York has been announced. The games which will
be played at RIT from Thursday July 27th through
Sunday, July 30th feature some of the best scholastic
players in the State.
Attackman selected were Grant Catalino
(Schroeder), Mike Danylyshyn (Fairport), Matt
Perrotti (Corning East) and Dominic Scalzo (Thomas).
Selected as alternates are Connor Rice (Penfield)
and Jeff Tundo (Orchard Park).
Midfielders selected were Carter
Bloor (Corning East), Chris Carlson (Penn Yan),
Kevin Coholan (Irondequoit), Adam Groot (Canandaigua),
Justin Rose (Rush-Henrietta), Charlie Sauter (Canandaigua),
and Mike White (Nichols). The alternates selected
were Nick Kane (Iorndequoit), Dan Lawson (Amherst)
and John Warner (Geneva).
Derrick Danieu (Orchard Park), Connor Flynn (Corning
East), Michael Manley (Penn Yan), Alex Nowark
(Penfield), Drew Palmer (Schroeder) and Dana
Wilber(Penn Yan) were sel;ected for the defense.
The alternates are Andres Torruella (Geneva)
andEvan Roth (Canandaigua).
RJ Wickham (Penn Yan) and Thomas Holden (Corning
East) were selected as goalies
while Zach Nash (Iorndequoit) is the alternate.
Coaching the Western team this year are Brian
Hobart (Penn Yan), John Schembri (Penfield) and
Matt Smart (Williamsville North).
