April 24, 2006 - The Player of
the Week awards are out for week four and
the three deserving winners were selected
from a field of thirty nominees.
The Mike Barnard Sportsman of the Week
is senior midfielder Tim Barth
of Rush-Henrietta. Tim is a team captain
who encourages his teammates and leads by
example. He places an emphasis on teamwork
rather than individual statistics. He also
helps with youth players at various functions.
The Graphtex Offensive Player of the Week
is awarded to sophomore attackman,
Greg Wright of Irondequoit. This
week Greg scored four goals and added three
assists against Ithaca, one goal and one
assist against Canandaigua and an assist
against Schroeder.
The Graphtex Defensive Player of the Week
is awarded to junior defenseman, Drew
Palmer of Schroeder. Drew is the
defenseman who plays against the best opponent.
This week he held Derek Pino to two assists
in the Irondequoit win, and held Joe Resetarits
scoreless in the Hamburg win.
