There were a couple of significant
games played in week one that resulted
in changes in the week two rankings.
Certainly Schroeder's overtime win
moved them up and Fairport down. Victor
had a big win against Canandaigua
and Waterloo is 2-0.
Penn Yan lost in a close game to West
Genesee, and their defense demonstrated
they will be tough on that end of
the field. Their 10-7 win against
Geneva makes a statement about Geneva
and helps support Geneva's number
one ranking this week.
Most games this week would seem to
be predicable, but games to watch
would include: HFL-Pittsford, Livonia-Waterloo,
Victor-Aquinas, McQuaid Jesuit-Brighton and
Geneva-Canandaigua.
Just like the weather - watch out
for changes, there is a great deal
of parity in Section Five Lacrosse
and a lot of games to be played.
Expect the first NYSSWA Poll to come
out next Thursday.
