Preseason 2006 - Midlakes

MIDLAKES
s5 - Midlakes finished 5th in the Finger Lakes-2 division last year with a 0-8 league record and an over all record of 1-17. They were seeded 9th on the Class C side of the B/C tournament and finished 9th after losing 9-2 to Newark in the first round.

Nine players graduated last year from the team of nineteen including attackman Dominick Valerio and midfielder Jeremy Denisi.

midlakesReturning at midfield are senior Nate Stevens and junior Clay Hemminger and seniors Jon Brigs and Ryan McConnon at attack. Senior Josh Sauve returns to the defense. Sophomore goalie Jared Schoonerman moves up from JV along with junior attackman Glen Stevensen.

Last year was the first year at Varsity for the Eagles, who play in the Finger Lakes-2 division. They have a full 18 game schedule this year with out of league games against some GRALL teams. They have a number of very tough games against established Finger Lakes opponents, but Coach Doan says that the team has worked hard in the off season and he hopes to see an improvement this year.
