CHURCHVILLE-CHILI
s5 - The Saints finished their first year at varsity with a 6-10 record (over all) and tied at 4th in the MC-2 league (6-8). Seniors Brad Gurbacki (face off) and Rich Amundson (defense) received all league honors.

Seeded 11th in the Class A tournament, the Saints finished 11th after a loss to Pittsford (16-2) in the first round.

c1Nine seniors graduated at the end of last season. The loss of Gurbacki and Amundson (Hartford) will be missed. The midfield also lost Mike Marseglia, Devin Jessop, Tom Barkolas and Tim Korn. Defensive midfielder Ben Walence has graduated along with Jared Twigg in defense and Kyle VanAernum in attack.

Back for the 2006 campaign are senior goalie Evan Williams, and junior middie Cory Mee. Also expect junior middie Jamie Englert and Ben Rossignolo to help. Senior defenseman Brett Hallenbeck is back and junior attackman Ryan Grogan will return to the attack. Newcomer Brian Briggs, a junior defenseman moves up from JV.

The Saints will play in the Monroe County - 3 division this year, where they belong while they gain experience. They will win games within the league and have scheduled some out of league games that will challenge them and help them to grow. Churchville-Chili has strong community support, with a youth program that is growing. The Saints will open with Spencerport at the end of March.
