August 13, 2012 - At the end of each sport season, the NYSPHSAA honors those teams that excel in the classroom. For lacrosse, a team must have at least eleven players who have a 90% average or better during the spring season.
One hundred and forty-six NYS lacrosse teams were named this spring, with Babylon HS (Section 11 once again taking the highest honors, this year with a team average of 95.417.
In Section V, twelve of the thirty-seven teams were honored, which is down from eighteen from 2011. They are as follows:
