Irondequoit traveled to Massachusetts and brought home a 4-3 win against the Duxbury Dragons. Penn Yan overcame a 4-0 first quarter deficit and scored twelve unanswered goals starting in the second quarter in their 12-4 defeat over Geneva. It was East Rochester in overtime as they defeated visiting Marcus Whitman 15-14.

  --  Although the game started in Geneva's favor 4-0 after the first quarter, Penn Yan scored the next 12 goals to defeat the Panthers 12-4. The Mustangs had trouble gaining possession in the opening quarter with Geneva holding possessions every time they had the ball on their side of the field.

Geneva scored their first goal with 9:18 remaining in the first quarter when Eddie Eddington assisted Steve Fabrizio. Eddington came back with a goal of his own two minutes later. Face-off man Nate Chilbert won the ensuing face off and ran down to Drew Feinberg waiting on the crease. The final goal of the quarter was scored with 0:01 remaining with an unassisted goal from Sean Cunningham.

Penn Yan scored the next twelve goals without a response from the Panthers. All 12 goals were scored by only three Mustangs; Bradley Voigt (6g-1a), Ryan Maciejewski (3g-2a) and Rion Davison (3g-3a). Two other players added only assists with Dylan Yonts (4a) and Sean Emerson (2a) rounding out the offensive scorebook. The most impressive goal of the game was scored when Maciejewski ran down the field during a fast-break and crossed the ball to Voigt. Voigt kept up the high pace passing and found Davison open across the crease where Geneva goalie Derek Grillone did not have a chance. Grillone finished with 7 saves for the Panthers. For Penn Yan Brandon Maciejewski finished with five saves.

  --  The East Rochester Bombers improved their record to 3-0 with their 15-14 overtime win against visiting Marcus Whitman Wildcats this afternoon. After a 6-3 first quarter, the Bombers led 9-6 at the half. The Wildcats caught up in the third quarter, which ended with the teams tied at 11-11. Both teams added three more goals in the fourth quarter.

Leading the offensive book for East Rochester were senior midfielder Clayton Vaughn (6g-1a) and senior attackmen Jordan Michele (2g-4a) and Darnell Rhodes (2g-2a). Senior goalie Jon Caton made 11 saves for the Bombers.

The Wildcat offense was led by senior attackman Jeffrey Bero (3g-2a) and junior attackman Connor Kelly and senior midfielder Taylor Lazzaro with three goals each. Sophomore goalie Merritt Bailey recorded nine saves for Whitman.

  --  In a game that has drawn some national interest, Irondequoit traveled to Massachusetts where they played The Duxbury Dragons. In a close game that featured great defensive play, the Eagles scored four goals in the first half, which was enough for their 4-3 victory.

Irondequoit senior attackman Nick Doktor scored the first goal of the game (unassisted). The Dragons came back twenty seconds later with an unassisted goal by Paul Hellar. Senior middie, Gunnar Miller gave the Eagles a short-lived lead with his unassisted goal, but Duxbury returned with a goal by Sam Sweet assisted by Andrew Burton. The first quarter ended in a 2-2 tie.

Irondequoit scored two unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a 4-2 lead at halftime. Miller scored the first goal. Senior attackman Jake Schmidt threw the ball to senior attackman Connor Enright for the second goal.
In the second half, the only goal scored was by Duxbury when Sweet scored his goal with an assist from Heller.
Senior goalie Eric Fischer led his tough defensive unit and made 14 saves (82%) for the Eagles.
The Dragons, ranked first in the Boston Globe preseason poll and fifth in the Inside Lacrosse Northeast, have twelve future division I players on this year's team. They have won eight of the last eleven Mass State Championships. The Eagles saw six players sign National Letters of Intent last fall.
