April 26, 2004 - There were lots of man-up opportunities at Livonia as Victor beat the Bulldogs 11-8. Victor took a 4-0 lead in the first quarter and extended the score to 7-2 at the half-time break. Livonia came back in the second half outscoring the Blue Devils 6-4. Victor had five man up goals on five tries including all three goals in the last quarter.
Victor's attack led the the scoring behind the efforts of junior, Kyle Rogemoser (2g-4a), senior, Mike Burns (3g-1a), junior Cory Benulis (2g-1a) and junior, Mike O'Hare(1g). Senior middie Ben Cerza (2g) and junior middie, Kyle Sullivan (1g-1a) finished out the scoring list for Victor (3-4).
Senior attackman, Ryan Rossborough scored 3g including two fast break goals at the top of the third quarter. Pat Whal had 1g-2a, Scott Mosher added 2g, and Aaron Young and senior midfielder, Tom Every each had 1g-1a. Chad Britton and Cahill Walsh each scored a goal for the Bulldogs. Tom Every was the ground ball leader with 12, senior, Kevin Thomas and sophomore, Shane Moran sparked the defense while senior goalie, Jake Auburn recorded 8 saves for Livonia (3-4).
It was another close game for Greece Odyssey as they fell to Pal-Mac, 11-8 at home. Junior attackman, Jamie Sinoploi had 2g-1a and junior midfielder, David Bennett added 3g . Junior attackman, Matt Christ (3g-2a) and Owen Cambell (1g-1a) and junior middie, Jeremy Reeves (1g-2) rounded out the scoring for Pal-Mac (2-7). Sophomore goalie, Ben Dlugosh had 14 saves.
Junior attackman, Joe Hallowell scored 3g-3a and sophomore attackman, Dave Rodriguez added 3g-1a for Odyssey. Rodrigeuz saw the same numbers in his last game (Brighton). Rob Weiler (1g-1a), Mike Kamp (1g-1a) and Eric Castro (1g) added to the Odyssey score. Junior goalie, Curtis Boshnack made 25 saves for the Leopards (0-8).
It was Aquinas over Nichols of Buffalo (Section 6), 9-6 as Connor Burgasser had 2g-4a, and J.P. Gorman added 2g-1a for Aquinas at Nichols. Bobby DeFreze added 3g and David Schmandt and Pat Kind each added a goal for the Little Irish (4-4). Senior goalie, Jeff Walker had an impressive night in the goal with 12 saves.[No report from Aquinas.]
Webster Schroeder had little difficulty with Eastridge as junior attackmen, Steve Jonas had 8g-1a, and Tom Costanza added 2g-5a for host Schroeder. Sophomore attackman, Jay Willmes added 3g-1a for the Warriors (4-3). [No reports from Schroeder or Eastridge.]
It was Pittsford over host McQuaid Jesuit, 12-7 under the lights as the Panthers scored 7 unanswered goals in the first quarter and went into the half-time break up, 9-1. The second half belonged to McQuaid Jesuit who went 3-2 in the third and 3-1 in the last quarter. The Panthers out shot the Knights 37-17 and won the ground ball game 46-30. Junior attackman, Jake Boyce (4g) and senior midfielders, Pat Kendricks (4g-1a) and RJ Lamontagne (3g-2a) led the offense for Pittsford (3-2). Juniors, Justin Rand and Dylan Bittlingmaier each added one goal and Seniors Ed Witter (3s), and Dom Govert (2s) combined with junior, Steve Mathews (2s) for the win.
Five different players scored for McQuaid Jesuit, highlighted by sophomore attackman, Marty Farchione (2g-1a), junior attackman, Scott Rubino (1g-4a) and senior middie, Matt Evans (2g). Senior middies Brandon McKay and David Sable each scored a goal for the Knights. McQuaid Jesuit's
senior goalie, David Yahoodik had an impressive night in the cage with 18 saves.
It was Waterloo over Bath, 10-4 as the Indians remained undefeated in non-league action. Senior midfielder, Mike Strohm led the team with 1g-4a while fellow senior, David Osborne (2g-1a) and junior attackmen, Gordy Lahr and Matt Haws each scored two goals. Junior goalie, Pat Debolt made 9 saves for Waterloo (8-3). [No reports from Waterloo or Bath.] |
