Monday Games: CA and Penfield Win
 -  Two games were played Monday. Penfield overcame a 4-1 first half deficit to beat McQuaid Jesuit, 8-7 in their non-league game at McQuaid Jesuit. ”Each team had control many times tonight,” Penfield coach Mark Rice told the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. “This was our tightest game so far, and it should teach us we have to work hard game after game to be successful.”
Penfield junior midfielder, Mike Thon who won 7/12 face offs scored the winning goal with 4:17 left in the game. Sophomore middie, Kelly McKenna led the Patriots with 3g, while attackmen Trevor Rice (1g-2a), Ryan O'Donnell (2g) and Kevin McGuigan (1g) added to the win. Senior goalie, Shawn Sullivan made 9 saves for Penfield (4-0).
  
McQuaid Jesuit saw a strong performance from junior attackman, Scott Rubino who scored 3 goals and added 2 assists and sophomore attackman, Marty Farchione who added 2 goals. Senior goalie, David Yahoodik recorded 17 saves for the Knights (0-3) who have faced Irondequoit, Canandaigua and Penfield in the first three games.
  
Canandaigua won the Finger Lakes crossover game with Waterloo, 18-4 behind the efforts of junior attackman Chris Mulheron who scored four goals and added 4 assists. Steve Smith, Mike Pane, Brian Hadsell, Chad Buck and Kyle Wakefield each scored 2 goals for the Braves. Twelve different players made the scorebook for CA. Senior, Grady Moore and junior Mike Serron anchored the defenseive efforts for Canandaigua (3-0).
  
Senior middie, Dave Osborne scored 2 goals and fellow senior, Mike Strohm recorded 2 assists for Waterloo (2-2). [No report from Waterloo.]
