Greece Ath/Ody 8 - Bath 7    Overtime

ath-bathredspot The Thunder struck hard in the first quarter with Nate Wallenhorst scoring two minutes into the game with an assist from Phil Lane. Greece scoring four unanswered goals in the first quarter, but it was a defenseman from the Ath/Ody that set the stage for the 8-7 win over Bath in the second overtime period.

Zach Reed scored the tying goal and then the go-ahead goal (7-6) with 4:11 left in the game. At the face-off Coach Perry switched his starting face-off man with Phil Lane, who won the face-off and took a fast break down the field and fed to Nate Wallenhorst on the crease which tied the game and took it into overtime.

In the second overtime and a man-down, with 3:34 seconds left, the Thunder was called for two more penalties: a push and a trip. With three men down on defense Joe Prestigiacomo, Danny Conway, and Nick Gallina played amazing defense, causing the Bath man-up team to drop the ball several times.
