Saturday Game Reports
 -  Six non-league games were played Saturday in the cold rain in and around Rochester. Waterloo won it's season opener 13-8 over Livonia at home as senior attackman, Mike Strom score a goal and added 6 assists. Senior Nate Boyd led the Indians with 3 goals and senior goalie, Pat DeBolt recorded 13 saves for Waterloo (1-0). Livonia saw points from senior attack-man, Pat Whal (2g-2a) and sophomore middie, Chadd Britton (2g-1a) who also won 7/10 faceoffs. Sophomore goalie Aaron Jamison made 13 saves for the Bulldogs (0-1).
  
It was Irondequoit (1-0) over McQuaid Jesuit 11-1 as the Eagles hosted the Knights in the season opener for both teams. Senior middie, Sean Doyle scored 3g-1a and Jon Timkey added 1g-5a for Irondequoit. Brandon McKay scored for McQuaid Jesuit (0-1).
  
It was Bath over Pal-Mac (9-7) as Dave Bennet scored 3g-1a and Matt Chris added 1g-4a. Jamie Sinoli added 2g and Den Dlugost recorded 10 saves for Pal-Mac (2-1). Bath saw action from juniors Jeremy Sutfin(3g) and Ritchie Zajac(2g-2a) and senior attackman, Mike Fusco (2g).
   
Newark was the winner in overtime as they hosted Mynderse (1-2). Junior attackman, Jason Johnson was the hero as he scored the winner; one of his 4g-1a for the day, just 1:50 into overtime. Senior middie, Mychal Wilkes added 2g-5a and senior attackman, Nate Colon scored 4g-2a for the Reds (1-0).
  
Fairport took the long bus ride to Corning and it was longer on the return as Corning East (1-0) beat the raiders 13-8 on a 6 goal run in the second half. The first half saw both teams take the lead, but only momentarily as the scored tied 5 times. In the second half the Trojans saw a 6-1 run that would eventually signal the end. Corning was lead by a strong performance from senior attackman, Mike Hatton who scored 5g-2a and, in the last quarter, junior goalie, Vince Cuda made some powerful saves.
  
"(Cuda) really stepped up in the third and fourth quarter", Fairport Coach Mike Torrelli said. "He got better and better as the game went on. He did a great job." Andy Ruocco finished with 2g-3a for Corning .Senior middie, Pat VanHall had 2g-3a for Fairport. Senior attackman, Nick Bryan added 2g and sophomore Pat Reilly helped with 1g-2a for the Red Raiders (0-1).
