April 4, 2008 - Penn Yan
scored five extra man goals to force the game into overtime where eight grade
midfielder, Jordan Owen gave the Mustangs a 9-8 win over visiting Geneva. McQuaid Jesuit
won a 16-4 game against Newark as Mitch Ritchie, Jeff McDonald and JD Ayer combined
for 16 points.
Penn Yan 9 - Geneva 8 in Overtime
Given the youthfulness of the Mustangs, some suggested
that Geneva would finally travel to Penn Yan for a win,
but Penn Yan eighth grade midfielder, Jordan Owen put in the winning goal
at 2:48 of the first overtime period to give the Mustangs the 9-8 win.
Down 6-1 at the half, Penn
Yan scored five EMO goals in the second half.

Trombley (1g-4a ), Osgood (2g-1a ), Linnan (1g ) and Castle (4g). Kamholtz
recorded 14s/8ga (64%) for the Mustangs (2-0). No report

McQuaid Jesuit 16 - Newark 4
McQuaid Jesuit dealt
out another blowout tonight, this time, a 16-4 win over Newark. Scoring
for the Knights were Mitch Ritchie (4g-2a), Jeff MacDonald (4g-1a), JD Ayer
(2g-3a), Eric Wright (1g-1a), Nick Wolak (1g-1a), Pat Jenkins (1g-1a), Clint
Masterson (1g), Bill Napoli (1g), Corey Flanigan (1g), Nick Caton (1a) and
Tim Caton (1a). Danny Caufield (4s/2ga) and Harry Goluses (2s/2ga) split the
game in the goal for McQuaid Jesuit (2-1).
Scoring for Newark were Stephen Johnson (1a),
Colin Johnson ( 3g) and
John Gonzalez (1g). Ben Hartman recorded 10s/16ga for the Reds (0-2).
