The tying goal occurred at 7:06 as Tom Rynn fired a rocket high on Zach Nash (assisted by Runyon). The game remained tied for the rest of the game, but the end was far from the passive at the end of the third. With 2:10 remaining Wallenhorst took a close range shot which was blocked by Sterzin but with 1:30 remaining Irondequoit had regained control of the ball but after a bad pass lost possession. On the clear the Eagles were offsides (which was assessed at 1:07). The Red Raiders could not get off a shot during the penalty. The ball was sent out of bounds at 0:08, but after a lose-ball push call, the ball remained with Fairport. Coach Mike Torrelli called a time-out.
