Canandaigua over Canisius
 -  red dot s5 special Canandaigua took an early 6-1 lead in the first quarter on their way to a 17-5 win over Canisius of Section VI.
  
The Braves started the scoring at 10:21 after a broken clear with Brian Scheetz scoring (assisted by Connor Henderson). The next goal was scored by Henderson, assisted by Andrew Knoblauch. Justin Tomzak, who led the all players in assists with four, scored his lone goal at 4:43 during a man-down situation. The play started with Scott Bement, the Braves junior goalie, intercepting the ball and clearing it quickly up the field. Knoblauch assisted Tomzak's goal. The last two Canandaigua goals in the first quarter were fast-break goals; the first was by Tyler Wakefield (from Tomzak) and the second was by A.J. Groot from Jordan Manzer. Canisius got their first point on the board with 0:19 remaining in the first quarter. The goal was an outside shot, during man-up, when Will Kesler found John Devine. The first quarter ended 6-1.
  
The second quarter found the Braves scoring the first three goals, and the Crusaders scoring the last two. The first goal was at 9:16 when Charlie Sauter took the ball the whole length of the field to score himself. The second, seven minutes later, was from a broken clear as Wakefield score (from Tomzak). The final goal was an outside 1-on-1 drive, when Manzer beat his man and walked right into the goal unchallenged. Canisius scored the last two goals of the half at 1:27 and 0:09. The first goal was a crease feed by Devine from Kesler. The second, another man-up goal, was scored unassisted by Gannon Teach. The score at the half was 9-3 for Canandaigua.
  
The Braves dominated the third quarter scoring all five gals. Henderson scored the first goal from a ground ball and followed with an assist in the second goal taken by John Klein. The Braves continued with two more crease feeds and a 1-on-1 drive. The third ended 14-3.
  
The Crusader's scored the first goal with an outside shot by Ryan Wagner, assisted by Ethan Collins. The Braves retaliated with two fast-break goals. Over the entire game the Braves scored 7 fast-break goals with two from broken clears. Canisius scored one more goal at 5:29 (Wagner from Teach) and then Canandaigua finished the scoring with Brian Lustick scoring, assisted by Marshall Johnson.
  
Junior Scott Bement played for the first 30 minutes recording 10s/3ga (77%) and Senior Kyle Carson finished the game with 5s/2ga (71%). Jeff White, the goalie for Canisius, ended with 16s/17ga (48%). Ryan Wagner took all but one face-off for Canisius and ended with 14/25 (56%). Kevin Peck recorded 4/6 (66%) on the face-off. Canandaigua improves to 6-1. Canisius moves to 1-8.
