Wednesday: Out of Section Teams Win Two Games
 -  Two games were played out of the Section yesterday, and both wwere home team wins as Victor fell to Amherst 9-4 and Pittsford lost to CNS 11-5.
  
reddot Victor travelled to Amherst (Section 6) to play the defending Class B Champions. The Tigers took control in the first quarter with a 4-1 lead which they expanded to by two to end the half up 6-1. They scored one more in the third, before the bench was cleared and a more even game ensued.
  
Scoring for Amherst were seniors Corey Rich (4g-1a), Landon Durak (1g-1a), Vinny DeRosa (1g-1a) and Taylor Ebsary (1g-1a). Also scoring were junior Dan Lawson (1g) and sophomore Casey Rich (1g-1a). Senior goalies Bobby McDonald(10s) and Garrett Rogocci (4s) recorded a total of 14 saves for the Tigers.
  
Four different players scored for Victor including junior middie Jason Houtenbrink, junior attackman Andy Savage and sophomore midfielders Alex Rogemoser and Frank Valenti. Adding assists were junior midfielders Eric Willman and Joe Coleman.
  
Although seven penalties were assesed in the game, neither Amherst (2 tries) nor Victor (5 tries) incluing one three minute stick penalty, were able to score in man up.
  
Victor Junior Goalie Mitchell Liegerot played well for his first varsity start as well as junior Tim Gallahan on close defense.
  
reddot Pittsford arranged a last minute game with host Cicero-Syracuse North but was on the losing end of the score as the Northstars won 11-5.
  
After a scoreless first quarter, CNS broke open a 4-1 lead at the half, repeated the scoring with a 4-1 third quarter and played even (3-3) in the last quarter. A dominating long stick defense and some key turnovers seemed to hurt the Panthers and although senior goalie Chris Jacobs started out strong in the goal, he was forced to face too many one-on-ones in the second half.
  
Scoring for CNS were Nick Blumer (2g), Mike Brodhead (3g), Jeff Gilbert (5a), Nick Lococo (1g-3a) and Mike Sciarrino (2g). Scoring single goals were Matt Didone , Jim Haney, Aric Meyers. Steven Ianzito recorded an assist for the Northstars whose goalie Jamie Praino made 15 saves.
