travelled to Amherst (Section
6) to play the defending Class B Champions.

with a 4-1 lead which they expanded to by

well for his first varsity start as well
as junior Tim Gallahan on close defense.

arranged a last minute game with host Cicero-Syracuse
North but was on the losing end
of the score as the Northstars won 11-5.
After a scoreless first quarter, CNS broke
open a 4-1 lead at the half, repeated the
scoring with a 4-1 third quarter and played
even (3-3) in the last quarter. A dominating
long stick defense and some key turnovers
seemed to hurt the Panthers and although
senior goalie Chris Jacobs started out strong
in the goal, he was forced to face too many
one-on-ones in the second half.
Scoring for CNS were Nick Blumer (2g), Mike
Brodhead (3g), Jeff Gilbert (5a), Nick Lococo
(1g-3a) and Mike Sciarrino (2g). Scoring
single goals were Matt Didone , Jim Haney,
Aric Meyers. Steven Ianzito recorded an
assist for the Northstars whose goalie Jamie
Praino made 15 saves. Score
