Saturday: Thanks for Turf !
 -  Because of the hospitality of Irondequoit High School and Nazareth College, seven games were played on synthetic turf today that probably would not have been played on home field grass. As a result more than 350 players and their fans enjoyed a cold but clear and sunny day with a number of great opening day efforts.

The first game of the day was at Irondequoit at 9:00 am as the Barons from Brighton started up looking like they finished last year, with a 12-5 win over Eastridge.
