Matt Hey and Karl Gray found the back of the net for Whitman before Clay Wilson finished the scoring with 2:08 to play on an open goal.

Coach Bruce Teague writes, "We got a little out of balance early and gave up two quick man down goals in the first quarter. We adjusted our man down defense and didn't give up another man down goal on 5 attempts after that. We knew going in that ER can shoot from the perimeter and we needed to challenge those shots which we did a better job of going forward. I am proud of the kids for not panicking when we were down 3 and digging to get back into the game before the end of the first. Our defense did a nice job to hold them scoreless in the second and limit ER to 2 goals in the second half. Oliver played a solid game for us tonight at the face off x and picking up to fast break goals. This was a good win tonight for these seniors playing their final home game on Wildcat field."  return to top
