Three of the four quarterfinals were mismatches with the higher seeded team winning, but in the #4-#5 match up it with the number five seeded Webster Schroeder, taking out Fairport (#4) in a 10-9 overtime thriller. Other winners today were Penfield, Victor and Pittsford.

-- Earlier this season, Webster Schroeder lost to Fairport 4-3. In the first round of sectionals, the Warriors (#5 seed) came for revenge and defeated Fairport (#4 seed) 10-9. This was the first time that Schroeder has defeated Fairport since 2008. The Red Raiders have won the last ten contests. The game was a series of runs. Schroeder controlled both the beginning and the end of the game with Fairport making a six goals run to end the second quarter.
Schroeder scored the first three goals with Collin and Jared Griffin combining for 3g-2a. Collin scored the opening goal of an assist from Jared. Less than a minute later Jared scored with an assist from Conor Bollin. The first quarter ended with Collin assisting Jared. The Warriors led 3-0 after 12 minutes.
Jack Bucci scored the opening goal for the Red Raiders with a feed from Cameron Gebhardt. The Warriors scored one more goal to take their largest lead of the game at 4-1 (Blake Balcaen scored unassisted). Fairport held the Warriors scoreless for the next 10 minutes to end the half leading by two (6-4). The Red Raiders added one more to start the third quarter and grab their largest lead of the game at 7-4. With 9:36 left in the third quarter, Fairport led by three. Schroeder scored six of the next seven to take a two goal lead in just over 12 minutes. Schroeder`s two goal lead came at 10:45 left in regulation with Bollin scoring his second goal of the game.
The Red Raiders only had eight shots in the final quarter (4 on cage with 1 goal). Antonia Deleo recorded 10 more saves to finish at 13. For the game 59%. For the Red Raiders, Tyler Wetzel finished with 11 saves.
