-- In the closest game of the night, Aquinas defeated McQuaid Jesuit in overtime 8-7. Senior midfielder Nick Tschetter (3g-1a) scored the game winning goal with 0:02 remaining in the first overtime period. The entire game was back and forth with the score only more than one goal apart for 0:32 in the third quarter. The lead changed in the contest four different times.
McQuaid Jesuit scored the opening goal with Luc Watson assisting Matt Palmer. Watson`s goal was the only score of the first quarter by either team. In the second, Aquinas added three goals and held the Knights to only a single point. Elliot Clemmons, Jonathan Parrinello and Nicholas Morreale scored for the Little Irish.
In the third quarter, McQuaid Jesuit scored first to tie the game at 3-3. With 6:47 remaining the Little Irish scored back to back goals to take a two goal lead (Clemmons and Tschetter). The Knights immediately brought the game back within a single goal with an unassisted goal from James Merkley. Before the end of the third quarter, McQuaid Jesuit added two more goals to take a 6-5 lead into the final quarter.
Aquinas added two more of their own to take back a one goal lead with 7:09 remaining in regulation. The Knights tied the game with 5:15 remaining and although both teams had a chance at the cage, neither could capitalize. Much like the completion of the fourth quarter, overtime gave both teams a shot at the cage. Aquinas' Bryce Kelly added 3 of his 7 saves in overtime. The Little Irish have won the last four contests, including back to back overtime wins.

-- Brighton took the lead in the second quarter and kept the lead for the rest of the game. The Barons defeated Rush-Henrietta 17-14 to remain undefeated. The early game was back and forth with the score tied at 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5 and 6-6 before the Barons scored five unanswered goals to secure the lead. Brett Randall (4g-5a) was key in taking control. He scored the 6th, 7th and 8th goals for the Barons to take the largest lead of the game up to that point.
Although the Barons never trailed again, the Royal Comets kept the game close for the entire time. They scored the first goal of the final quarter (Matt Zarzycki unassisted) to bring the game within a single goal (12-11 Brighton). However, the Barons responded with three goals and the Royal Comets couldn't keep pace. In the cage for Brighton, Caleb Green played three quarters and finished at 50% (10 saves). Nate Luong played the final quarter and did not record a save. For the Royal Comets, Colin Mix recorded 7 saves.

-- Penfield took the lead with 5:48 remaining in the first quarter and never trailed again in their 11-9 win over Canandaigua. Although the Braves opened the scoring, Penfield scored the next four goals to lead 4-1 after the first quarter. Canandaigua moved within a single goal twice, but never re-tied the game. This is the first time that Penfield has defeated Canandaigua since 2012.

Penfield tied the game 0:34 later with Matthew Schoeneck scoring with an assist from Brandon Buss. Schoeneck finished at 4g-1a to lead the Patriots. The four unanswered goals to end the first quarter were the major difference, as most of the remaining game was the two teams trading goals. In the cage for Penfield, Erik Smisloff finished with eight recorded saves. Brandon Moore finished with 10 saves for the Braves.
