April 2, 2016 - On the last day of vacation there were five games played. Penn Yan lost in overtime in their game at CBA and Schroeder used a two-goal run at the end of the game to beat visiting Gates Chili. Bath was a 12-7 winner over McQuaid Jesuit, who just returned from their west coast vacation games and Aquinas defeated Livonia. Hilton got their first win of the 2016 campaign at Oswego.

-- Webster Schroeder scored the final two goals to secure an 8-6 win over Gates Chili. The Warriors took a quick, early lead, scoring five unanswered goals to start the game. Jonathan Kay scored two goals in the opening quarter to help take that lead. Jared Griffin, Blake Balcaen and Matthew Montgomery scored the reaming three goals of the opening quarter.
The second and third quarters were strongly in the Spartans favor. Gates Chili scored six out of seven straight goals spanning the second, third and fourth quarters. They saw scoring from four different players with Brett Kirkpatrick and Joseph O`Hare each scoring two goals. Going into the final quarter, Schroeder held a 6-4 lead. Adam Phelan and Kirkpatrick scored for the Spartans to tie the game with 8:03 remaining. The final two goals of the game came from Schroeder (Kay and Balcaen).
Schroeder was able to control the ball for the final two minutes of the game to secure the win. Both goalie had strong games with Michael Cavallaro (Gates Chili) finishing at 53% (9 saves) and Jake McGrath finishing at 60% (9 saves). Both teams play next Tuesday with Schroeder facing Brighton and Gates Chili facing Greece Arc/Oly.
