--  NOTES and COMMENTS: Ithaca started off the game with a bang. The Little Red scored the first three goals with impressive plays. The opening goal was scored with a feed from behind the cage by Nick Miller to Ryan Sposito. Sposito finished with 3g-2a to lead Ithaca. One minute later Collin Case fed the crease to Matt Pagliaro for a second goal. The third goal of the game was the most impressive from either side. The play began on defense with D-middie Aidan Fitzpatrick stripping the ball from Fairport. Long stick Luca Greenspun picked up the ball and gave it to Sposito who fed inside the crease to Jalil Clark. The entire sequence looked like late season polished lacrosse. The Red Raiders added two goals of their own to keep the game close. TJ Hendricks (2g-2a) and Cameron Gebhardt (2g-1a) scored the first goals to end the quarter 5-2 Ithaca.

The second and third quarters were more evenly matched with Fairport outscoring the Little Red 4-2. An altercation, at the end of the third quarter, changed the emotion of the game. With nine minutes remaining in the game, Fairport took a shot on cage that was ruled outside the net. The call upset players and shortly thereafter Fairport found themselves in penalty trouble which ultimately led to five unanswered goals for Ithaca.
