LaxPower Names Victor in Top Five
 -

LaxPower.com recently announced their "Top Five Programs" in the Country, and listed Victor as their number four pick.

LaxPower.comLaxPower uses their national win/loss database, a series of mathematical algorithms and a selected group of pollsters to create a list of twenty five top high school teams from the 3,854 in their 2015 database. The computer model combines the "national poll" of thirty coaches, with the computer ratings (Power Rating) which looks at the margin of victory, strength of schedule, quality wins and the win-loss record. The detailed explanation is available.

The "National Champion", in the number one spot, was the Haverford School (Pennsylvania) who finished their season with a 26-0 record and appeared first on all three components. The Landon School (Maryland/DC) was in the number two spot after posting a 20-2 season. Gonzaga (Washington, DC) took third. Victor (22-0) was fourth and Bridgewater-Raritan (NJ), at 23-0, was in at number five.

To put the honor in context, NYS Class A Champions, Niskayuna placed eleventh and NYS Class C champions, Cold Spring Harbor placed 20th. In Section Five, the three next top teams were Pittsford (127th), Webster Thomas at 382th and Penn Yan at 439th. The full list can be found in the LaxPower list.
